Recommendation

Recommendation       Be patient. Time is the best prescription for some problem, like language barriers and culture shock. Don’t push yourself. Slow down and make your daily tasks as simple as possible. But keep progress every day. With time, you will adjust.       Keep an open mind.  Get used to all the newness and get in touch with the new environment. Learn to lead a happy life.       Build a healthy life.  Establish a routine for your daily life. Set up the time when to get up, when to study, when to eat and when to sleep. Also, get physical exercise. A healthy body promotes a healthy mind.        Work on improving the English.  Ask questions, and don’t be afraid to try.       Make some new friends.  Develop the friendship with classmates and professors. Attend some international student organizations or associations to the social circle. Establish a supporting network of friends around you. Ask their Facebook and Instagram to keep in touch.

Summary

On 3 August, we collected data from a face to face survey of 12 international students who are studying EAP4 at Swinburne University. The 12 interviewees came from many different countries such as Oman, Japan, Thailand, Korea, Turkey, Cambodia and China.      According to the survey, we found that international students who are in a  new and different environment feel helpless to establish social networks and  ‘real’ friends. Actually, international students find it really difficult to connect with friends in social networks, because they are not used to interacting with people from other countries with quite different cultures.  Most new students feel it is a little bit hard to make new friends here. Moreover, international students usually only spend time with people from their home countries. In this part, we will analyze our survey about the socialization  of international students. Description:  Gender, group of age and countries of interviewee are shown by this image with pie charts form. The first pie chart displays the gender of the international students, 8 people of students were men 5 people were women. The second pie chart shows the age. We have found that 9 people of the students were in the group of 18-25 years old, 2 people each were in the group of 26-30 and 31-35 years old. The third pie chart illustrates the respondent's hometown country. All of them came from Asia countries. Discussion:  Our survey is balanced because we have many males and females student. It is clear that most international students go abroad to study when they are a teenager. Rationale for the survey

 As  globalization’s coming. The number of international students has grown in many countries, including Australia. We have to think the issues that we and international students face to when international students moved to another country; the biggest problem might be f inancing, culture stock and socialization.  So we going  to  discuss in this blog about "Socialization of International Students" .    We would like to investigate by the survey, which  interview about  personal details like gender, age  and their  home country.  Furthermore, we will ask  variety questions  about their socialization such as kind of person do they like to make friends, about topics do they usually talk with them friends and others.    We  believe that  most of  International students   are  felt  hopeless  when they try to develop to be part of  new social networks as their  home  country .         Our expectation is figure out how international students face to the new socia
